Oxyrhynchus Hymn

It is the first known Christian hymn that includes both notation and text. It was discovered on a papyrus in the city of Oxyrhynchus, in southern Cairo, and is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. Its significance lies in being one of the oldest pieces of written evidence of early Christian music.

Es el primer himno cristiano conocido que incluye notación y texto. Fue descubierto en un papiro en la ciudad de Oxirrinco, en el sur de El Cairo y está dedicado a la Santísima Trinidad. Su importancia radica en que es una de las evidencias más antiguas de la música cristiana primitiva escrita.
